Sunday School at LBC
At Lakeside Baptist Church we use a God centered curriculum called CHILDREN DESIRING GOD.
It is Christ-exalting, Bible-saturated, and age-appropriate. We believe that those charged with nurturing the faith of children have a high calling and are entrusted with a responsibility that must be taken seriously. The materials are sequential and include the following topics for infants through 5th grade.
We believe that the Bible is a book first and foremost about God, So our curriculum, attempts to exalt the triune God—-to show Him as a great and almighty God. In every lesson, scripture is studied in the context of the question, “What does this say about God?”

Awana helps LBC and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Our program offers a proven approach for evangelizing and discipling kids in the church and community.
As a ministry leader for nearly 60 years, Awana is making an impact. A recent national survey found Awana to be as important to our alumni’s spiritual foundation as all other church activities combined. Among alumni who participated in our programs for at least six years, 92.7 percent still attend church at least weekly as adults!
Each week, more than one million kids ages 2 to 18 participate in Awana. Over 12,000 churches in the U.S. and 6,500 internationally run Awana programs that change young lives through biblical truth.
LBC’s AWANA runs from the second week in September through the following April.

Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is one of the greatest opportunities LBC has to reach all people, especially children and preschoolers, during the summer months. It continues to be one of the most productive special events in terms of both finding prospects and leading them to the Lord.
