NEW CHURCH DIRECTORY!!!
Attention Church Members! Have you picked up a copy of the brand new, updated edition of our church’s pictorial directory for your family? If not, please make a point to do so! This is a GREAT way to get more “connected” with your church family!
What can you really DO with one of these…? Well, here’s a few of my suggestions:
1. Look through the pages and make SURE that you learn the names and faces of every member and regular attendee who’s pictured there….then, as you are able to do so, greet each other by name whenever you are able to do so.
2. Pay attention to the names on our prayer sheet each week, then – when you encounter a name you don’t recognize – look it up in the directory, see the picture of who we’re asking you to pray for, and commit to pray for them regularly until we see the Lord’s answer to those prayers. Also, if the Lord leads you to do so, please don’t hesitate to send letters of encouragement to the people on our prayer list….their addresses are in the book!
3. Finally, consider inviting someone that you didn’t previously know to join your family for lunch one day so that you can talk to them and get to know them better (You’ll be able to pray for them better, as well!). Use this directory as a tool to establish new friendships within our church family, and to be reminded of the great friendships that you already have at Lakeside Baptist Church.
Please feel free to use the directory as you wish, but make sure that you’re using it in a way that specifically reflects and honors the character of God. Our church is a gift – the people of our church are gifts – and now this beautifully prepared pictorial directory is available to help us encourage each other and spur one another on to good works. If you still don’t have a copy and want to pick one up for your family, please either stop by the information desk after worship Sunday morning or else contact the church office at (231) 755-1718 to let us know.
May the Lord continue to richly bless the good work that His people set their hands to doing – and may we always strive to treat EVERYBODY in our church just as God calls us to – like they’re really important (…because, as God teaches us, they ARE!)!
